Ingredients |
Utensils |
| 2 pounds ground venison |
Mixing bowl |
| 3/4 cup bread crumbs |
12" baking pan |
| 3/4 cup milk |
|
| 1 teaspoon seasoned salt |
|
| 1/2 teaspoon sweet basil or 1/2
teaspoon thyme |
|
| 1 clove garlic, minced
(optional) |
|
| 1/2 cup chopped onion |
|
| 2 eggs, slightly beaten |
|
| 2 to 3 slices bacon (optional) |
|
Directions
Combine venison, bread crumbs, milk, seasoned salt, basil or thyme,
garlic, onion and eggs
Mix well and form into loaf on 12-inch baking pan with 2 1/2 inch to
3-inch sides (lined with foil to ease clean-up)
Bake at 400°F for 30 minutes; then, if desired, place bacon on top of
loaf
Lower temperature to 325°F and bake an additional 45 minutes
Let stand for 10 minutes before serving |
