Ingredients |
Utensils |
| 2 pounds venison, cubed |
Large heavy kettle |
| 4 cups water or beef broth |
|
| 6 oz. can tomato paste |
|
| 6 carrots, cut into chunks |
|
| 2 onions, cut into chunks |
|
| 2 cups chopped celery |
|
| Oregano |
|
| Garlic powder |
|
| Salt
and pepper |
|
Directions
In a large, heavy kettle brown venison in oil until caramelized
Add broth and tomato paste
Simmer for 2 hours
Add carrots, onions, celery, oregano, garlic powder, salt and pepper
Cook for about 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender
Thicken with flour and water to desired consistency
Serve over baking powder biscuits, mashed potatoes or noodles |
