Ingredients |
Utensils |
| 2 pounds moose steak cut in 1/4
inch strips across the grain |
Large skillet with cover |
| 4 medium onions, thinly sliced |
|
| 1 pound mushrooms, sliced |
|
| 1 cup non-fat sour cream |
|
| 1/2 cup good sherry |
|
| 1 cup beef broth |
|
| Egg
noodles |
|
Directions
Brown meat strips quickly in olive oil
Don't cook through, do just a few pieces at a
time
Remove from pan and keep warm
In the same pan, sauté onions and mushrooms just until onions are
translucent
Add beef broth and simmer 10 minutes
Add sherry
When everything is simmering again, mix in sour cream
Add meat strips and let simmer until meat is done
Serve over hot egg noodles |
