BEER BATTER FISH

Ingredients |
Utensils |
| 1 cup flour |
Mixing bowl |
| 1 cup beer |
Skillet |
| 2 tablespoons baking powder |
|
| 1 teaspoon sugar |
|
| 1/2 teaspoon table salt |
|
| 1/4 teaspoon paprika |
|
| 1 pound fish fillet |
|
| 3
cups canola oil |
|
Directions
Make the batter by combing the flour, beer, baking powder, sugar, salt
and paprika and mix until just moistened
The batter will be very thick, set aside
Place the oil in a skillet and heat until hot, but not smoking
Dip the fish, 2 or 3 pieces at a time, in the batter and then place in hot
oil
Cook until browned on both sides, turning once
Place on paper towel to absorb the grease, and then into a 200°F oven to
keep warm
Repeat this process until all the fish are fried
Serve with cole slaw and your favorite side dishes
